I didn't realize that they were passives. Thanks for the info. I think I need to read up more on these. I assumed that battery meant active. Thanks again for the heads up. Never liked EMGs in guitars but these sound great.

I've been using EMG's in many of my Basses over the last 25 years and really like them.
I just went and looked on EMG's website and their 35HZ has EMGHZ on it. I guess they could have changed something or maybe Schecter made a mistake in their spec's.
Enjoy either way.

Thanks Ed. I love the pickups. Super controllable grind. Always still articulate. They don't muddy up. I'm a convert. I'm just so excited to be playing bass again after 25 years or so of being wrangled into playing guitar.

Hey guys! It’s been literally years since I don’t post here!!! I stopped playing for about 7-8 years and recently got back at it. I found a schecter Damien 5 for $120 in good condition and couldn’t hold myself lol. I’m currently running it through a Behringer V-Tone DI and a Tech 21 Spectra Comp compressor out of a bugera head and 1*15 and a Laney 4*10... the sound is incredible! Buuut I want more! Lol been thinking about upgrading the pickups to Aguilar and the onboard Preamp to Darkglass Tone Capsule... anyone have used any of them before???

Besides, how would I know if that's the best sound if I don't have anything to compare? lol =)

Had my first rehearsal tonight with the Model T Session. She plays so sweet! The band was impressed. Really meaty sound, but well defined. I had the pickups blended to just favor the P pickup by a small degree. The more I play this bass, the more in love I am.

I finally had a few moments to do final adjustments to my Model T Session (primarily nut filing).... One month in and the love continues. Great bass.

I do wish I could swap out the pickguard for a black tort (maybe red tort?). Hmmmm.....

Just got this Stiletto Elite delivered today from Southpaw Guitars in Houston. Love this bass. I'm really digging the cherry burst in person. Nice to have a unique color in a lefty other than honey satin.

This happened and I can’t describe how much better this bass sounds passive... VVT. Rounder, Warmer, Punchier and (believe it or not), it’s quieter now too. Super easy install as well. The toughest part was taking the old preamp out.

I was planning on selling one of my Model-T's because it never stood up tone wise to the other 3 until I tried my Geezers in it. Now I can't sell either the pickups or the Bass because together they just work.
I come to realize that some pickups just don't work in certain basses. Emg Actives sound great in all my Model-T's except this one but, now w/ the Geezers it's a favorite.
