Everything functions fine with my other 5 cabs... it's just not a loud cab. Sounds a bit bigger than a 210 but not as big as a 210 + 115.

I'm gonna try throwing more power at it next time :rolleyes:

I too find his website to be a little lacking.

perhaps when things calm over there someone will redesign it and make it more visually appealing and user freindly. there's too much scrolling and clicking for info that could all be on one chart. the pictures are not terrific either.

no dig on Jorge or Schro's meant

they are coming... Jorg sent me a BUNCH of stuff 2 days ago and another batch (that I knew was coming) this morning (guitar stuff is getting announced).

I was just brain storming with the Mrs' on how best to address the new info and areas. I will be making it more uniform and easier to follow.

as far as images... I get what I get. I'm in NJ and Jorg is in CA. He can't ship me the entire line for a photo shoot (Hmmmm... or could he :smug: ) and his camera ain't the greatest (sorry Jorg).

Really? That is the exact opposite of what I experienced last night, trying my 310212 for the first time. Ran it with my Fender 300 PRO and it killed. I'm up against a loud drummer and 3 guitars. 350 tube watts of guitars. My Schro sounded full, tight and plenty loud, with plenty of headroom left on the Fender. Believe me, when I say plenty loud, I know loud. My old rig consisted of two 4x10's and two 2x12's with 4,600 watts.

If you read through the main Schroeder thread you'll see that players who want a more agressive sound seem to like the Selenium but most people are going with the standard titanium which is evidently sweeter.

I know that I don't like the harshness of many horns out there but have none of that coming out of the 1210.

Yeah, I know it's not my rig, because it sounds awesome through my Goliath when I A/B them (all settings the same). The Goliath crushes the Schroder right now. *** ? It showed some evidence that Fed-Ex may have been less than kind to it. That breakup noise comes at volumes that really aren't that loud too. That one 12 that moves like a sumbitch has me thinking there is a problem with that driver. If I didn't know better, I'd think the polarity on that one driver was reversed or something. It's just not that loud right now, somthing must be wrong. I'm waiting to hear from Jorg to see if he has any toubleshooting ideas. I'm pretty reluctant to gig with it tonight, I can EQ it so that it happens a lot less, but still. I bought it because I wanted the crushing low end.

Wow, and just like that I get a call from Jorg. Man, he's on top of things. He offered a replacement cab (which I'll have in 3-4 weeks). In the meantime he's sending me a woofer to see if we can try and get this cab up and running. It looks like fed-ex may have dropped it. A-holes. Anyway, 2 big thumbs up for Jorg and his service. I would call the extra woofer thing above and beyond good service. Way to go Jorg. Now, the anticipation is really killing me. Oh well, Goliath II comes out of moth balls, yet again, to save the day.

It can always be merged later, but as-is in the "megathread" I'm not sure many realize these new lighter cabs are being introduced at NAMM.

Something has to be up.

As I've stated before, my previous rig was bmax, carvin dcm 1000 into a 1210. I only ran one side of the carvin(300w, not even turned to half volume) and I played in a medium sized club in my area without PA support. I run wireless and could hear myself clearing and evenly along with the rest of the FoH mix.


I don't have that rig anymore because I've downsized to a mini12+ airhead with a mesa Walkabout in it....which is now on the way. Will I be able to go without PA support with it? Well, I'm not expecting it to.....everywhere I play has had PA support.

I do intend to add a 310212 airhead with a large poweramp later on to fill any need for more volume :cool:

We're playing as a duo right now running the Focus at 12:00 on both pre and master which reading the posts here seems like it should be very loud but it's not. Sounds great, but just not as loud as I thought it should be. All eq set flat.

Any ideas? I'm going to go through a point by point check before we play tonight and see if I can find any reason for it being so "quiet".

With most neo cabs, I get the impression that most people seem to be just a bit less satisfied with them soundwise but the weight makes up for it. I'm waiting for the reviews of the Schr lights and, if no bad comments come up, I'll most probably order one too.

Welcome to my world. That was the exact reason I couldn't use mine for over a month. Fedex mashed it all to hell. And the worst part? Box had HUGE arrows pointing up. What was mangled? The top of the box! And the plastic corners on the cab... Also had a bad driver because of it and distortion/low volume. Jorg was also on top of that real quick. Then the replacement driver was annihilated in transit by USPS!@ ARGH@! Anyways... The third driver was excellent and I've been aurally abusing my bandmates and audiences with this lovely cab ever since :)

Jorg rules, fed-ex needs a good fire bombing.
