Schroeder Cabinets ... smart design = very compact ! (regular and lights)

Just got off the phone with Brian! My 1212 will be on the way in a couple of weeks!!! 
I spent a long time vacillating between Avatar, Dr. Bass & Schroeder, but in the end I followed my gut instinct (of course the gut is where GAS comes from)....a little more moolah than the other choices, but I have a feeling that this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
Now the amp search begins...

The Mini 12 without the tweeter will cost me $435 which includes shipping. There doesn't seem to be a difference in the price if it's 4 ohms or 8 ohms.
Well, I now have three gigs under my belt with my Schroeder 1210 and iAMP 800 setup. I didn't feel it would be right to review the cab before gigging it.
This combination rocks!
Lots of volume, and tons of low end. I have never heard my B string this clearly at such high volumes before.
The iAMP has tons of headroom, and I finally understand other peoples comments about the iAMP being clean and hifi, but yet being thick/harmonically dense at the same time.
I can hear myself on stage better than ever before, and this setup cuts through distorted guitar like nobodys business.
After one gig, I was thinking that the iAMP might not be the amp for me, but after a couple more, and getting used to the EQ section, I think it is a keeper.
My only gripe is that the tweeter is a little too smooth for me. I like biting highs for some songs, and this tweeter takes some pretty extreme EQ'ing to get there.
But that is a minor complaint, and I am 99% happy with this setup.
My Zon and my Nordstrand have never sounded this good.

oh yea, the bass? SWEEET. Sounds like a mix of that bloomy old school sound and a more modern tight sound. Smooth playing too man.

So that I don't feel bad about posting that....my last payments from the guy I sold my tuba to will arrive in May...I'll be joining the Schroeder club then....and I can't wait.
I'm picking up a Schroeder 1210 on Saturday. If this thing comes anything close to the reviews in here I'll be stoked.
Even, if you aren't talking about his cabs, just asking about older amps and if he's used them, he's still an awesome dude to talk to on MSN Messenger Service.

Hey, I think that using the picture of MY rig on the main page of the Schroeder website means that I should have a 2nd 410 coming to me free of charge!!! (just kidding)
The more I use this cabinet, the more I am amazed. I've had it about a month now and have been through 4 gigs with it. I still can not beleive the volume, clarity, punch, and growl I can get out of this box. The more people that here me play through it, the more compliments I get. And that is coming from both musicians and non musicians. Thanks again Jorg!!
