.175 - good god - may as well use a steel bar :D

Well I'm just back from band practice having used Howie's Sei for the session :smug:

Still no pics so it still doesn't officially exist yet.

I'm not going to steal Howie's thunder so I'm not telling you anything about it but the non-existing mystery bass plays rather nicely :bassist:

The advantage with playing a bass which doesn't exist it that you must sounded awesome on it. After all, no-one can really argue as they can't hear it if the bass doesn't exist... hmmm

I hope you instructed Howie on how to post pictures of this mysterious bass, so that it may be greeted into the S.O.C. with much fanfare !!

Hi Folks,
I am really worried now. I still haven't taken any photos but Paddy
has relented and will let me post some of the pictures that the seller took.

The only thing is that it will probably be a huge anti-climax now that I have kept everyone waiting for a week.

Anyway, they will be posted later today.

Cheers,

Hi Folks,
Right, here we go, Thanks to David for these photos (presuming that some do appear). I only seem to be able to add 2 attachments at a time so I will try adding another 2 to another posting.

Ok Howie you can officially lose the (w) now - welcome to the club :D

As with all Sei's it's a lovely bass to play - looks utterly gorgeous in the flesh. What surprised me was how differently it sits on the body compared to the offset shape. And, please, no comments about my bass player gut and how everything is bound to sit differently :spit:

Understand it's going back to Martin for a service shortly - all Sei's lead the the way to Royal College Street, Camden.

--------

On another note.
The facings for my fretless aren't quite big enough so Martin is having to go shopping. I've asked if he's got anything interesting in stock - watch this space.

--------

On yet another note.
When's your baby due back from the finishers 7?

Paddy

Is there any significance in this? Are you saying that the facings aren't big enough for your new Sei or aren't big enough for your bass players gut :D :hiding:

Btw HPM

That is a very beautiful Sei you have there. I would be interested to know the specs on it in due course. Congratulations.

Regards

Matthew

Howie - I've seen that bass before and always loved it !! Many congrats on losing your (w) !!

Paddy - I sent an e-mail to Martin today asking about an ETA for my bass. There's some great deals on the trains at the moment, just £11.50 Glasgow to London, but I have to book waaay in advance,

No answer as yet, and to be honest, I didn't want to phone him to ask... I'll keep you all posted !!

Be careful what you say to Matthew, he could set the vicious mountain dog on you..or I'll let the devil dog loose, that's if she stops eating her bone and wanting her belly rubbed...
