I went from passive 15s to powered 12's so no weight difference really except the power amp I had a crown macrotech 1200 that was a beast specially when it was racked with the ce1000

Man I am sure not regretting making the move to my new set up...being able to mix from the tablet is soo convenient and my back feels wonderful after tonight's gig. Which was a load out through snow so not the easiest. Once you understand how to navigate these new digital systems they are great specially since everything is saved so just plug in and go.

That mirrors the setup we have been using for over 2 yrs now.. and I recently moved to a pedalboard only.. as I go DI and we're all IEM's.
Our IEM mix is run from the X32 Rack, and all feeds go into a splitter - which sends the signal to the Rack and the Producer.
If we are providing FOH or an L/R FOH feed - we mix out front via iPad - and use both the X32 Rack and Producer.
If house provides FOH we split from it into the X32 rack..
In either scenario, less weight, and same IEM mix for each gig..
That is a good way to keep your IEM mix when someone else is providing the front of house..I have a IEM set up that I haven't used yet but we are talking about it.
This just arrived at my house - seems like places are blowing these out the door for cheap (probably since the next generation will be at NAMM in coming months?). I did consider the XR18, but don't REALLY need the 18 preamp inputs nor 6 aux channels for double the price.
We've been using a Presonus 16.4.2 for the last year. The XR16 will replace that AND a 16x4x 25' snake. The Presonus is a great rig and I do like the physical control surface and workflow. However, the wireless capability has proved to be lacking sadly on this unit (board -> FW to laptop -> Cat5 to router -> wifi to iPad) - just too much tech required and more dropouts than I care to deal with (even with a dual band WiFi router). I know the AI versions of this board are better but I also wanted a smaller, lighter footprint with more or less the same capability.
This little unit will suffice for 92.8% of our gigs. For the remaining 7.2% of our gigs, we'll have to submix the drums to ensure we have enough channels freed up and can accommodate all the drum mics. Fortunately, I have a small analog mixer I can use for that.
Tested this with the laptop via wireless, iPad mini via wireless and am considering a dedicated Android tablet for this unit. I do understand that an external router will likely be necessary for this unit to perform optimally, but at least I don't need the laptop on top of that and I already own the router!
Will be taking it out on this Friday's gig - will be driving a pair of EV ZLX15s, three Mackie monitors and an IEM feed for the drummer.

I'm not exactly sure which brand (never looked), but I know it's a 16-channel rack-mount box with 2 * 15' tails.
We also have a Behringer S16 in the rack that we use for extra I/O on the X32 Producer - when needed.
I didn't order anything. The other guys I play with have enough stuff to complete a PA. But I've been thinking about giving the turbosound inspire line of column speakers a go.
I had a pair of EV ELX115P speakers. Awesome powered speakers for the money. We got nothing but compliments on our sound. I rarely had to use subs with EV's, you can put a whole band through them.
I ended trading them in for RCF 12's. If it wasn't for the size I would have never sold them.
