Speaking of strings - an I'm NOT getting compensated in any way to say this - if one is looking for a stiffer but full-sound-spectrum roundwound, I can't recommend Stringjoy highly enough. I. Am. In. Love. They are on the pricier side of things, but well worth it IMO.

@Pyrat, what kind of strings will you use?

Probably LaBella...I do remember digging those old Gibson strings, but I'm sure they're different (isn't most everything?) now. I use DR Sunbeams on all the Fender stuff...fantastic strings.

Its not going to be an issue. Any routing will be less than a mm, which is negligible.
