Does anyone know where I could order one of those 3 way selector dials like the epiphone EB-3 has?

It's just an ordinary rotary switch, probably 2P3T. I installed 3P4T in my Fender Jazz to give me enough flexibility to do both pickups in series as well as in parallel, but 2P3T should be enough for the standard options (neck, both in parallel, bridge).
The brand is worth too much to let it just die. Henry might lose control of it, though. While he hasn't been the greatest CEO, there's no guarantee another one would be better. I have no complaints about any of the Gibsons I've owned during Henry's tenure. They're quality instruments.
It may come down to it, if possible, the employees buy out Gibson. Other large companies have gone that route.
Four Gibsons and two Epiphones later I'm still plenty pleased with the stuff Henry's company puts out. The world is full of a$$hat CEOs, life's too short to focus on that end of the product. I'd rather enjoy the wonderful output the company produces vs dwell on some guy I wouldn't know if I bumped into him.

I am really liking my 8 string SG bass
I settled on eE aA dD gG tuning for now ...
I have to do a little fret leveling but other than that it rocks. The 2 Wilkenson stingray pickups are loud and deliver a full frequency response. I wired it with 500k ohm pots.

I am looking for one of these basses ... I want to turn it into a 10 string bass ... a 5 string bass with octave strings.
