There are a few free sites on the web that allow you to build fliers. I think they may have the site addy on the bottom though. PosterMyWall.com is one of them. Not the best but hey its free.

Spend some quality time with Photoshop.
Don't read any instructional nonsense.
Just click stuff and experiment for a while.

Also, learn how to google image search, properly.

The first one is the best of the three.
The others...meh.

i appreciate the criticism, this is all new to me. so far just playing around with templates. oddly enough that was the first one i did! what is it that makes that better or makes the others worse? general layout? colors? fonts? lack of info on the others? appreciate any help i can get!

Thanks dude! The honor goes to the girlfriend of our frontman - she is tattoo-artist and usually paints things like this permanently on bodies! She is specialised in Pin-Ups. I really dig her work!!

The white space at the bottom is for writing in the date and time for whatever venue wants to put these up. Making nice posters is pretty expensive so we made a template we can use over and over.

Not a lot of posters have pictures of the band members (mine included). I was told by a venue owner that people want to see pics of the band members on the posters. Apparently in his mind that was a big deal. Anyone else heard this? Thoughts?

i've always dug the pin up style stuff. my former band had a graphic designer as the guitarist, but you couldn't ever get him to lift a finger for band artwork. when someone else would step in, he'd just complain about their poor work. i guess this post is for "band management"! back to the posters!
