Here is our 2014 flyer design. We mail these out to the churches or venues we are booked at, and let they fill in the blanks as they want.

Nicely done!

Hi,

Here's the flyer for this weekend's gig with my vintage country band.

TBS-Waterwheel-022214-flyer_zpseea7077b.gif

The drummer, Jason, created the flyer. I took the picture of the front of the club with the waterwheel. A fan took the band picture during the gig last Sunday. It's a fun band, good country roots music, western swing, etc. We play a lot less modern pop country. Just good pickin' and grinnin'. :D

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Beautiful work.

Don't usually hang around outside the pedal forums - occasionally basses and amps - but I'll chime in. Mine are all a few years old. I've actually gone back to design school since and would likely do them differently now, but haven't had a need to make any recently.

I've inserted one below (I see that someone else also used this Posada litho), and the rest can be found Invalid Link Removed.

Wow, Seriously talented artists here.... more than just musical talent! Here is a simple to the point one for tomorrow's gig. Still using Photoshop. I downloaded a free trial of Illustrator. It is cool, but have not had much time to mess with it yet. Hope to get a logo made before the trial ends.

My son, maybe 6 or so at the time, drew a pic of Dad's band on stage and showed me. Being a proud papa, and recognizing great art when I see it, I threw it on the copier with a business card, enlarged to 11x17, and voila...instant poster. One time use, as most of ours were.
So one of us took a red marker (fading away now :( ) and wrote the show time, with who, and labeled each band members name above their respective caricature.
I believe this drawing is a portrayal of the band having just finished the most amazing triumphant show, because we are all standing and holding our guitars above our heads.

Priceless.:bassist:

I would just like to add. We always found that the best places to hang them to get better turn out are in the bathrooms of the bar/club venue about two weeks prior to the gig. Also, we always give the venue a large part of page space with large font and their logo big too if they have one. This seemed to appeal to the venue owner's ego and we found the bar owner would let us hang them pretty much anywhere we wanted to in his bar. That way it looked like we were promoting his bar as much as the band. Just sayin.

I won't forget to use this idea next time.
