SHELDON DINGWALL is building MY DREAM BASS

The low F# needs some good amplification and cabs to be felt and heard, otherwise it sounds like f**t. Jauqo III-X may chime in for more.

Very true, although talking with Mike and Bill at Conklin, they think my 15" might be able to handle it alright. If I go that route, I mainly want it for position playing. I may never need to leave the 5th position, eh?

Hey Zach, have you had a chance to play a Dingwall yet? There are a bunch out there, and I know that there's at least one dealer in Colorado. I'm sure that there's at least a few in state that you could probably try out?

Havn't run into one around here yet, but when i do i'll be sure to check it out.
This thread is gonna give me G.a.s. :D

At the time, I figured that it would be my one shot at a VERY nice bass. Now, of course, I'm not so sure!

A fretless would be really cool. Something with both piezo and regular pickups

:D:D Only a Bass Player would be thinking of his next bass before this ones even done!! :p

Thanks man! You know, I don't think that I know of a Dingwall owner in India yet...could the first be you? ;)

nope if i have to buy one!
for that kind of money i'd rather first look for a decent room to live in, a minimum ~150watt combo amp, a cheap used car, an internet connection which goes beyond 64kbps max, a "computer", a mobile phone and am serious! :help::hiding:
well yeah BASIC needs first :)

edit: now that did turn pretty dramatic lol but anyway hope your custom bass turns out to be a gem! :)

Yeah, I know what you mean. This site makes you want to buy basses costing thousands of dollars, but then you realise you could pretty much revamp your whole life for that kind of money.

Seems to be a great looking bass though, I look forward to more pics, and I'll view the thread again when I'm on a computer with a monitor that isn't all screwy.

well actually no, nothing has ever made me want a bass this expensive. at the most what i ever would want would be something like just a five string bass having a 3 band active eq with pickups which are not noisy thats it am done if i can put together around 400US$!

My Geddy SJ5 is on the way to me. Should see it early this coming week. Sheldon does good work.
