To me, changing the body is going to result in the bass changing its sound to some degree or even the way it plays. Why not just refin?
, and Dakota Red should just be called Plain Ol’ Red I love the tone and the feel of my 2018 Fender American Professional Jazz (black, maple fingerboard). I am not in love with its black color. So, I plan to get a Warmoth body in a different color. My other basses are in Arctic White and Butter Scotch Blonde. My Strats are in 3T SB, Oly White and Fiesta Red. So, I'd love to have a different color in my collection. I love Shell Pink, Dakota Red and Burgandy Mist, but I've never seen a maple fingerboard Jazz bass in one of those colors in person. What do you think? If you have a maple fingerboard bass in one of those colors, please post a pic. Cheers.
