Is Good Will Hunting a movie or a thing I should do?
I've picked up a few project basses there. In 2 out of 3 cases (83 Peavey Foundation and a Sherwood Green Squier PJ), the necks had a lot of bowing and the truss rods were maxed out. The washer-behind-the-nut trick has worked, but maybe I'm lucky. I keep a search agent on looking for cool stuff, but you have to watch the shipping - I didn't on my first project and it was $60 to get it to Atlanta.
They got any good deals on, oh...........I don't know.........maybe a shell pink vintage Jazz bass........like.......from somebody's estate, or something like that?

I’ve seen quite a few things on there that I’d have bought if they were close or shipping wasn’t prohibitive. I think the one in Willamette Valley, OR always has amazing stuff. I think that’s it. Couldn’t talk my sister in Medford to picking it up. Something about it being far. Hey, this stuff’s important.

Shopgoodwill items come from the Goodwill stores, plucked out by staff as items they believe could fetch greater value online than in their stores. Each store gets credit to add to their store's sales volume when the items (that they gave Shopgoodwill) sell online. Shopgoodwill locations each make hundreds of thousands of dollars a month. Many of the staff have disabilities in varying degrees and are paid at minumum wage levels, despite the fact that their workplaces are raking in $$$$$$.
Yep! Bought an almost new looking Fender Frontman 15B, bass practice amp for $17 plus handling. Description included, Doesn’t have power cord. Don’t know if it works.
Brought it home, plugged in a standard detachable cord like what comes on all the gear these days and it works just fine.
Nice thing was that it was in town and I could pick up so was bidding against those who have to pay shipping.

I have bought a couple of things. Both electronic items (a microbass and a tube DI) had a lot of electrical noise. Haven’t had time to take them apart and see what’s up. Bought one bass. It was fine. I bought it mostly for the neck and expected it would need some fretwork.
Like the bay of E stuff starts out at a great price. Most of the “interesting” stuff seem to get silly expensive pretty quick. Or I’m just cheap. I’m good either way.

That always confused me too :
One of my friends was really good friends with Ben & Matt, and she worked in a Goodwill store in Boston at the time - I had completely the wrong end of the stick, whenever she told me about this script they were working on (the movie turned out to be not at all what I was expecting).
Imagine Goodwill getting screwed so badly by eBay & PayPal they had to start their own auction site for their stores.

OP you’d be surprised at what gets donated/given away.
For me, I have a cut off that ranges from $50-$100. If an item i no longer want is in that range or below than chances are I will just donate it as trying to sell it and dealing with people try to get a better price is more hassle than its worth.
