I've got both. Oddly enough, both basses sound pretty identical. The Musicman feels nicer, but I'd have no complaints if I only owned the SBMM. I have no complaints owning the Musicman either, except THAT THEY PUT THE DANG STARRY NIGHT ONE OUT AFTER I GOT MINE!!!! Oh hwell.

To sum it up, the SBMM is awesome. The Musicman is magical. IMO. It feels about a pound lighter too.
Yup . That starry night looks awesome I got the Blue SS ebmm stingray. That starry night look even be better In maple frettboard IMO. Was planning on getting the sterling SS stingray. But waiting on the sire U5. Weight is a big issue so one pound difference does make a difference to me. Thank you your input.

If weight is an issue I'd check in on that Sire. I had a fretless and it weighed about 10 lbs. The SBMM being about a pound heavier puts it at the same weight or less than my Mustangs. Just giving you a heads up.

Outside of my Hofner, the MM Stingray is my lightest bass.

I'm sad that I had to cancel my order for one of these last year, so if any of you guys ever wants to sell your blue and maple EBMM shorty, ping me. I don't have the money *today* but have started strategizing for when one comes up on the market. Cheers.

I find it hard to get over the tiny, toy-like appearance of these basses. I know shorties are great to play and sound terrific, etc. but they sure look like Barbie’s boyfriend Ken decided to get himself a bass guitar.

Would it be too much to ask for EBMM to make a medium-scale StingRay (32" scale)?
I would love a 32. But the small body makes the bass very light, which is a plus for me

I would have preferred a 32" scale also. But having owned one for about a year now, I got over it.
If it aint broke, dont fix it.

...But at the end of the Video I've seen a juncture between Neck and Headstock. Possible?...

That’s the tape line your seeing where the headstock finish stops and the wax finish starts.

Edit. I forgot to add the quote.

Nope. Someone just posted the new colors for 2020. There 100.00 more than last years models but also have roasted maple necks. There both sweet. Love mine but going for a spector bantam or sandberg lionel short scale bass next. But so tempted to get another EBMM SS stingray.
Ah, that's why I said if anyone is selling their blue/maple one to PM me - that's the only color I care about.

I play well with "34 I have hands able playing "34. And I tried a little "28,5 so similar to "30. "32 it is similar to "34 and I don't see differences between. Not too much in tension and for small hands "32 is liKe Fender scale
