I've had this happen one or two times as well. It's always very surprising when it happens. I guess people assume because it's a flight case, it's OK? Weird.

Was a case advertised as included?I purchased a guitar online. I made an offer of full price + $50 shipping. It was accepted. The guitar was shipped to me with no box. The case is very wet. The guitar is fine though. Should I be mad? I'm more just dumbfounded that someone would ship a guitar this way.
Is this April 1st? This really happened? I'd be dumbfounded. Actually, I *AM* dumbfounded. Should you be pissed? Yes, that and a bunch of other emotions. Edit: I see it's fine. As most are now saying, sure, move on. But you gotta be mesmerized by that one. Certainly one for the memory banks.I purchased a guitar online. I made an offer of full price + $50 shipping. If you aren't mad why would we convince you to be mad? This is unusual and, maybe a bit lucky there wasn't significant damage or theft, but its hardly criminal. You're reasoned, relaxed response could be instructive to all of us.I purchased a guitar online. I made an offer of full price + $50 shipping. It was accepted. This is the answer. The real question is, was the case part of the deal?
If so, I'd be angry.
If not, then the case is just a box. The seller chose to use a fancy box. It got wet. Whatever. Contents of the box were fine.
The only time I shipped something in it's case was an ARP Odyssey synthesizer that I was selling. I had the factory Anvil road case for it. When I brought it down to FedEx to ask about having them pack it before shipping, they told me to just ship it as is. I suppose the only risk was someone deciding to open the case along the way. It arrived OK and my buyer was satisfied.
