Unique and beautiful finish on that Elan.

Here's mine again-all of my Photobucket links got broken when I moved some stuff around.

GAS, GAS, GAS guys. I don't own one, but have wanted to for awhile. You all shouldn't post these pictures, unless you want to be responsible for me selling everything, getting divorced, lying in a gutter somewhere clutching my beloved Alembic. :-)

I hope to try one out someday, somewhere that I can find one---provided my credit card has room.

Absolutely beautiful instruments.

After a lengthy stay in Santa Rosa for refinishing and the addition of an omega cut, my '78 Schedua Series I is returning on Friday. It's hard to wait! It's going to make a great touring mate with my Starfire.

A long time ago Mica explained to me that the Essence body is actually a combination of two other bass designs. The "bass" side uses the Rogue template. The Treble side uses the Small Body / Stanley Clarke Signature template. Seeing your two basses side by side certainly makes that clear. The upper horn on the Rogue has a slightly more radical contour, but otherwise......
