Show me your birth year bass!

I've been intrigued by the concept of owning a birth year bass for years now and I recently got my hands on one (not that 1994 is a particularly challenging find) - the great 1994 G&L LB-100 below.

I know plenty of folks around here share the same interest so I'm keen to see a timeline of bass guitars that came into existence the same year you did and hear any interesting stories that go along with them. Show me what you've got!

I've been contemplating a 1980 bass, but don't know what I would go with. I don't like any of the odd/pointy basses of that period so it would probably either be a Fender or Japanese lawsuit bass.

i can't actually name the 1950 model i was thinking of...but a birth year bass is a great idea.

I don't have one yet but I've kind of been mulling over trying to track down a Fender Performer bass. Something about that bass just resonates with me. I was born in 86 and they only made it from 85-87 so it's kind of perfect.

No way I would buy a '54. But I do have a Fender Sting. I know his is an early '57, but it's what one made on my birth date would be like (less the 12th fret inlay) essentially.

Born in 58 there were many by then but if I was to chose as what I would like to have it would be 1958 Explorer bass
