Show me your compact pedalboard setup

My little wireless gig board, this time I set it on top of my cabinet to have some more stage space (we had both a fiddle and a mandolin this gig) and to use the Bright Switch light for my set list.

Bass > Line 6 G70 > TC Electronics Spark > TC Electronics PolyTune > Becos Compiq > Mesa Boogie D800 > Accugroove Tri112 > Goodnight Charlie's patrons. Cioks DC5 on the bottom.

I love the G70, I have a G30 but the dropouts and limited range made me plunk down for the higher dollar unit. I swapped out my Broughton Monocle with the Becos Compiq just to experiment, I like both. I stomped (metaphorically) on the Spark for a little more volume in a couple of songs where the bass is featured. I love the DS Engineering Chronograph, very useful for gigs with a time limit. I actually like my TurboTuner ST-300 Mini a little better than the Polytune 2, but it's sitting on another board right now. That's my next change. I'd love to squeeze a couple of more things onto this PedalTrain Nano but then it would be a bigger board.

This was the first gig with my new Accugroove Tri112 and it was awesome, more gig pictures attached. This gig was an original Texas country band called The Recollection (the National Band of Texas).

Do you turn the computer off when you use the boost? Otherwise aren’t you just driving the compressor harder thus compressing more?

The compressor is always-on. When I hit the Spark, the overall volume does increase substantially, you can see the low level that I have it set. The COMPIQ is not such a perfect limiter that everything above the threshold is clamped. If it was, then you're right, but the compressor doesn't limit completely, and it also boosts lower signals, like balancing volume across strings and fingers and such, and also provides sustain and punch.

I probably shouldn’t hang out in the Effects section as I’m really not big into using them. :0 The YYZ is a lot of fun and sounds great but it’s for my backup amp which doesn’t have enough drive. The Drop pedal is a backup in case anything happens to my five-string. So if either of these pedals are being used at a gig, I’m having a bad day.

Trying to dial in this smaller board for band#1 that I don't even use a lot of pedals with (at the moment :rolleyes:)

Chain goes:
Bass --> tuner --> comp --> VTbass --> LS-2 (painted) <=
- loopA > TAFuzzM >-
- loopB > small Stone phase shifter > bass Clone chorus > Donner JCFlanger > Mooer reEcho >-
=>- H/LP filter > Amp/cab

Hey, could you describe how you're using the LS-2? I use mine to mix in some dry signal when I'm using my EHX Iron Lung vocoder.
Fantastic pedal!

Hey there, I know you weren't asking me specifically, but as an LS-2 user I figured you might be soliciting all the opinions you could collect on it...

So far on both boards I've been running my dirts thru loopA and my modulations thru loopB... I can tame a wild fuzz on A while simultaneously running a totally clean signal into a warbly chorus on loopB. IMO even pedals with their own clean blend benefit from being in a parallel signal path, at least on bass guitar, as those lows being intact is so important.

On my larger board I stepped up to an EHX Switchblade Pro that's only slightly more $$, for a few reasons... the SBpro has 2 loops + a dedicated clean blend, it can do series cascading of effects from A>B or B>A, and the LS-2s crowded side jacks really :mad: me off sometimes.

Hope any of that helps.

I like this. Like it a lot.

Spark Mini at the end? Do you use it as "always on" buffer or for solo, or both? I plan to get one and put it in front of OD to have "extra extra" for specific sections of songs (one place in one song but I love it, I get to use OD full front and play low B, while singer shouts the chorus). Does it's "on while pressed" mode has to be activated every time or it has memory?

I'm a really basic user of the Spark mini. I use it as a boost for solos. It's at the end so it boosts whatever sound I'm feeding it. I honestly don't use the "on while pressed" function.

The press and hold boost is just a function of the pedal and a handy feature. Press and release it works as normal off and on.
