Show me your compact pedalboard setup

IMG_1932.jpg

I have never used a pedalboard. mostly just a tuner and called it good. Recently the bands I am in are down tuning and I added a Drop pedal and figured why mot throw some other on there for the heck of it. The Source Audio Aftershock fits nice as it can dial in a small amount of fuzz for always on use. Chorus and Phaser for fun and the Swamp Lord for when things need to get brutal.

The HPF and the LPF are missing, but they will be just before the Tone Hammer. I'm also deciding whether to include again the TC Mojo Mojo or not. It would replace the Mooer since I prefer the Chorus effects of the M5.

Hey, could you describe how you're using the LS-2? I use mine to mix in some dry signal when I'm using my EHX Iron Lung vocoder.

How does that Behringer mixer work? I'm looking for a more compact mixer for practice to cut down on space. Can you hook an ipod or mp3 player into the monitor input to play along with songs?

The Behringer MicroMON MA400 is a great little cheap box that does exactly what it is advertised to do.

A signal routes through it from my Zoom B3n via a stereo quarter inch cable to XLR.
The signal then goes to the mixing board through an XLR cable.
From the board the full mix of the band goes back to the Invalid Link Removed via a stereo quarter inch cable.
The Invalid Link Removed has two volume knobs. One controls the full band mix - the other controls my individual signal which allows me to turn myself up in my EIM's without affecting the overall band mix.

It is a really great little box and the best $25 I have spent on gear. One caveat - I have discovered that it is very noisy if you try to run it off a power brick. It is a 12v box and it runs best with the power supply that comes with it. Since I only have two pieces of gear on my board I power both the Zoom B3n and the Behringer MicroMON MA400 via the wall warts that came with them from a power strip under the board.

Ultimately the band I use this pedal board for will have wireless IEM's from a Behringer X32 digital mixer which would negate the need for the Invalid Link Removed.

I am currently using as a "blend control" of the effects. The only effect that is out is the octaver, because sometimes I only need the octave and to me it doesn't make sense to put it in the loop. The signal is:
Tuner->Compressor->Octaver->LS2->HPF/LPF->Tone Hammer
Loop A: Fuzz->Chorus->M5 (usually a Chorus/Flanger/Delay).
Loop B: Dry signal

I really like this setup

How do you like the Pulp n peel?

I love it. I used to have one, I sold it, and then I bought it again. It's simple and effective. The EQ knob is very useful. I also use it in my compact pedalboard (tuner->Compressor->DI) and I like the results. It's expensive, but it's worthy. It replaced a Pigtronix Bass Compressor. I also like this one and how it's voiced (with a little loss in the highs) but it sounded really bad using 9V and I didn't have room for another 18V pedal.
