Show me your compact pedalboard setup

It’s great. I’m not someone who does sophisticated comparisons of pedals, but I prefer the LAB to the MXR Bass Comp I was using previously.

One thing I prefer about it is its simplicity. There are only two knobs, and all the settings sound good, so you don’t have to spend time fiddling or making sure you’ve dialed in precisely the right setting on multiple knobs. When the compression knob on the LAB is at 12 o’clock and the volume all the way up on the bass, the compression is noticeable but not overpowering. And the pedal remains quiet even when you crank the compression all the way up. Plus it’s attractive and well-made, and you can use it with other instruments. (Works great with an acoustic guitar.)
Thank you!
I like simple and the rothwell is on my long time 'want' list. Email-Communication with Chris Young was really good too and his pedals seem well made.
I hear th elab does impart a certain tone/character but it seems to be a good one. Would you confirm this?
Also; how does it behave in terms of noise(I know ...some of this does depend on what you plug into it :-) )

Here's what mine's been since we last recorded.

Yeah, I think that's right. I don't hear any EQ shift with it on, but there's a subtle difference in tone. With the compression knob around 10-11 o'clock, it reminds me of the one time I played through a vintage B-15. Warm and slightly squishy.

As for noise, it's very quiet. Quieter than the MXR Bass Comp, which isn't a noisy compressor. I know hiss becomes inaudible when you're playing with a band, but I don't like it, so this is a big plus for me.

So I'll need to try one. right?

Is it based on someone elses desgin?

My understanding from the Internet is that it was inspired by the Universal Audio / Teletronix rack-mounted leveling amplifier, the LA-2A (hence the name "LAB"). Obviously a $300 pedal is not going to fully replicate a $4,500 tube compressor, but it's more than good enough for your home studio or playing live.

Thanks! I was kind of trying to replicate the look of one of those gorgeous, wood-trimmed Moog synths. That's one reason I switched the knobs on both pedals to reflectors.

The look you achieved with your pedalboard is actually the best I remember so far. I bet it's very inspiring when you look at it while playing.
I'm really digging also the West Coast website.

I’m building a compact pedal board. I have a small Dingbat on the way and the pedals below as my starting point.

What bass are you using with the SLO?

I recently picked up my dream bass (Roscoe) and I've pretty much put my effects board away since it sounds so good on it's own. But I still want to try a SLO, and am wondering how they go with active basses?
