Show me your compact pedalboard setup

Slimmed down and travel ready. I put the cut off portion under the front of the board and it leveled off nicely. I can use it whilestill in the case. Store extra patch and power cables under neath. Or pull it right out. I am going to get a 90 for the output cable as well.

Million Dollar question.... What does the "Direct Mute" on the OC2 do?
Nice setup BTW

Thanks! "Direct Mute" foot switch mutes the direct signal, and the other channles (Oct1 and Oct 2) are boosted. I also installed a small switch to mute the Oct 2 that works the same way.

Edit: by "direct signal" I mean your clean bass

Just ploughed through 280 pages of compact pedal boards in 3 weeks. Amazing boards! I just switched to bass and I have a question. In order to keep a compact pedal board ( nano+) do you think the extra options on a deluxe bass big muff pi justify the extra real estate on the board compared to the nano bass big muff pi. for now the other planned pedals are ehx bass mono synth and a bloodmoon phaser.

In anticipation of playing out again/jamming, I've been putting my pedalboard together again. I like the TAFM a lot-- great all around for light and heavy dirt and fuzz. The spectrum I'm just running as phaser/envelope/envelope phaser. The only wild card is the general boost/OD. I have the Pork Loin set up just as a british preamp boost. So full and warm, but missing a little top end. The Plumes does this but it's not as "full" feeling though the top end is there. I need to do some actual in the field testing to see which one I'll go with or maybe I'll go back and forth.

I've been digging around and it looks like the Plumes can be modded for more bass @JohnK33 did it on a clone with a cap and resistor change. There are so many Plumes on reverb that I think it's a better idea to just try and mod the one I've got than build a clone.

Sure you don't mean johnk_10?

Modding what you have will surely be cheaper than building another from scratch.
It's YAT, so I guess the usual places/ways to mod a Screamer for more bass will apply.

depends on what you want. My personal preference is to have more smaller pedals, or pedals that have multiple foot switches on them, so I prioritize having more options immediately available, at the cost of tweakability. Many people on here go the other way, you just need to decide what you want. but I wouldn’t agonize over this one too hard, as both versions are cheap and readily available on the used market, and you can resell it for about the same price you bought it (speaking from experience!). Also try it out in a store if you can.

EDIT: I was thinking about the regular vs nano, not deluxe vs nano. So some of the above is irrelevant and I’d fix it now but I need to go to bed :P

I don't totally know, but there are around 100 right now up on Reverb. I suspect it's because it's a great basic pedal but people get it thinking it will be the answer to all of their problems and then flip it for the next thing. I really like it, but need the bottom end to open up some. I know what cap to change now, but opened it up and it's all SMD inside. So, have to figure that one out!

okay I’ve refreshed myself on the differences.

the deluxe really puts a lot more features and control at your fingertips. It also adds a DI, always nice to have. If you’re ever going to use the DI, odds are you’d put it at the end of your signal chain.
the only unit I’ve tried firsthand is the regular bass big muff pi, which you didn’t mention. I do think the crossover features of the deluxe are a great idea, but I don’t see the utility of having a foot switch for the crossover. Like, are you ever going to press that on stage?

some of what I said before still stands, in terms of weighing your priorities. since you’re thinking about a small board, I think the real estate demanded by the deluxe is only worth it (in my opinion as a stranger on the internet) if you’re making the big muff the centerpiece of your board, and perfectly crafting the muff sound is super important to you.
lots of knobs and routing options can be great, but it’s only worth the space if you know you’re going to use that. And if you’re going to make use of the DI feature, you’re best off putting the deluxe at the end of the signal chain (so that way you’re sending your complete “sound”), which isn’t something I’d want to do with a fuzz since I might put another effect after it (eg: chorus or phaser). But also, there’s no “rules” on how to set up your signal chain, and I’m certainly not an authority.

What I said about finding used and reselling still holds, so if you have the funds you could even just buy both and resell one. I use Reverb for selling off my pedals, and it’s worked out well enough for me.

i personally think that less is more. A few, simpler pedals are easier to adjust on the fly and won’t distract you from playing. If you like muffs, you could get away with just a compressor and a wren and cuff super Russian—which, IMO has all you need for a muff: a germanium buffer boost, great muff with solid bass, mids switch, extra distortion/fuzz switch: Super Russian — Wren and Cuff

I know that the impulse is to add more features and options to your pedalboard, but I think it can be a distraction and you don't end up using most of it anyway.
