Show me your compact pedalboard setup

IMG_9995.jpg

Latest evolution of my board... Diamond>Super Russian> C4> Grand Orbiter> Tuner> Messenger.

Feel like pretty much everything is covered here. Ditched my delays for the phaser for similar sounds. Great filters on the C4. Got rid of my spectrum a while ago and really missed it. Super Russia muff used as an OD and the boost is an always on sweetener.

Played this setup tonight and it was great. Subtle phaser sounds when that’s what was called for. Great muff/mutron and octave sounds from the C4. Muff cut pretty perfectly too.

...current permutation of my "big" board....it's 13.6x10.6 ". I recently saw a 'net meme along the lines of: in every relationship there's 1 who loads the dishwasher like an inspired Scandinavian architect, and another who does so like a racoon on meth.......within my pedal board brain there are 2 circuits.....the architect pathway that governs what pedals go in what order/arrangement, and the raccoon on meth circuit that slings the wiring (you don't wanna see the underbelly, LOL). CIOKS 7 underneath powers it all.

Not much you can't do with this board! Looks great

Not sure I need the Tone Hammer, but I wanted a DI and it was either that or my JDI. The tone hammer will give me the option for a quick tweak to the eq without digging into Stomp menus.

I wanted to get a Pedaltrain Nano+ but I was concerned that at 18”, it would be too tight if I ever wanted to use the side jacks on the HX Stomp. Never heard of Ghostfire before. It is 20” wide so gives a little breathing room. Seem built well enough.

What that circle thing on you tuner. I have a couple of those but never seen that.

Not sure this qualifies as compact... My blues band pedal board is smaller... This is about as small as I go with the HX though. The MXR comp is off the board at this point. The re/Q is primarily there for the HPF/LPF and to solve room problems.

The wireless receivers drive Left and Right in on the stomp. The Spectrum and Future Compact are in the Stomp's EFX loops. The ext switches are both set to tuner on/off. The HX, Spectrum and Future compact are all controlled by the MC6. Spectrum is using the 'new' Source Audio SA-168 midi interface.

This is pretty close to complete for the upcoming outdoor festival season.

Finished my first pedalboard this week:

Signal Chain:
  1. Empress Bass Compressor
  2. Source Audio EQ2 (Ch1: EQ/HPF/Tuner)
  3. MXR Bass Octave Deluxe
  4. EHX Bass Big Muff Pi Deluxe
  5. MXR Bass Envelope Filter
  6. Source Audio Lunar Phaser
  7. Source Audio EQ2 (Ch2: HPF/LPF/Noise Gate)
I modified the RockBoard DUO 2.2 to accommodate mounting a CS6 underneath and added 1/4" chassis on either side to plug my bass/amp into. Yes it's overkill, but it keeps things nice and tidy.

If anyone's interested, I posted details of the build in a separate thread.
