Show me your compact pedalboard setup

If you have ever seen one of my boards, you know I love to maximise every bit of real estate. I have been toying with how to get a Swiff audio tuner and a Spark mini mounted together (tuner above the mini) so they take up minimal space and be used together easily. I finally whipped something up today. This gets the tuner up high enough to operate, and also allows for rail spacing on different pedal boards, that don't play nicely with mini pedals. Not sure which board it will go on as I am pretty happy at the moment, but I'm sure an opportunity will present shortly! Might even look and including a power y cable on here also.

Last pic shows a comparison to a D'Addario tuner. Overall depth is a couple of mm more than a Aguilar pedal.
Any ideas for improvement welcomed!

Clever!

Excellent results, well done!

How do you like the Swiff tuner? I was looking at that when searching for a mini tuner. Decided on the Joyo, which has worked great so far in it's limited work space.

This is the new version of this tuner. Haven't used it at length yet but the old version is awesome. This model is more robust with the casing made from aluminium rather than plastic.

That's AWESOME!

I just picked up a Swiff recently and was planning on rehousing it as an always-on tuner in a buffer-booster pedal.

I might copy your riser-design for a couple 1590LB builds.

Thanks for showing that off.

Is there any way to have the mount go up and over the spark control? So the total footprint is only the spark.

Sure. I just quick sketched this up. The Swiff should fit on the upper shelf, the knob on the Spark should fit under the upper shelf. Would be pretty easy to 3D print this. only 4mm wider than the 1590A pedal.

Could always add a slot or hole in the back plate for a power cable. The arcs on the side are to give room for any side plug locations.

Here’s what I have available to put together a small board for grab-n-go directly to FOH and/or to an amp. So, the three DI options are on the left. Going to try a bunch of combos on my desk this weekend. What would you combine out of these (ignore the LS2)?

Not sure what kind of music you're playing, but in the absence of further specific info, I vote tuner>>Broughton HPF>>Diamond comp>>Underground Accelerator>>Finally.

I would definitely add to this your MXR Poly Blue Octave early in the chain.

I have the PBO with a Tap switch set up to control the Fuzz and Phase 90 on/off in monophonic operation. Then my JohnK Rothwell Love Squeeze custom housing (Stanley) with a Mooer Spark Echo (tape delay and reverb with clean signal blend - very dimensional!) and will be putting a sfx Micro Thumpinator under/after the PBO. (Laney FS-2 mini not pictured for Digbeth DB500H for tube drive and mute function for tuner at the head.)

Using the provided 660 mA MXR/Dunlop power supply from the cable snake to run the +/- 450 mA total load with EBS 9v distribution and all D'Addario American Stage cables replacing the EBS Flat Gold Patch Cables (slimmer).

All pedals mounted to a D'Addario dual pedal riser for the large expandable pedalboard.

*The secret I find with the Poly Blue Octave is; don't be trying to keep your clean/dry Bass signal in the Octave mix with this synthy monster...it is what it is! :bassist:
