Show me your compact pedalboard setup

These days...

This is my Tesla...no more G.A.S. :cigar:

I just picked up one of these new Gator boards! I’m a fan!

The board fits perfectly inside the front pocket of either of my Gator gig bags (either my single bass bag or my dual bass bag).

I was using the DCX for tone shaping. I had another pedal on my larger board for distortion. I’m just using the DCX for that now.

I don’t think I will fully give up on my Pedaltrain Metro 16. Plus, the tour case has a bunch of fun local band stickers as well as other cool stuff on there too. I do foresee using this new one from here on out pretty consistently!

1st incarnation, temporary though. Nice have everything all set up on the board. It's plug in via the mods and go. Easy reverse to get out of there and hit the road back home.

From left to right:

1- Audio-Technica ATW-3255 wireless IEM that connects to the FOH mix port via the XLR module on the right side. I couldn't find an adequate riser for it. It looks like I'm going to bend some sheet metal.

2- Cioks DC7 just barely peaking out through the holes in the upper right of the ATW-3255. Plenty of power. I'm not even seeing the first LED light on the load meter. The red DC jack is center positive. The rest are black and are regular center negative. I will relocate it under the transmitter once I get a riser. This will free up room for other stuff. Cioks makes a hex standoff kit, but I've not found it for sale. Nice having the dip switches for voltage as one is 12V, the Tone Hammer is 18V, while the rest are 9V.

3- Next is the Empress bass compressor. It is very, very good. I did have a little hiss, but didn't have time to troubleshoot where it was coming from. I suspect it might be the Empress.

4- Below the Empress is my new Tone Hammer. First time I got to gig with one. In one word - fantastic. Blows the doors off the onboard preamp that Kiesel puts in their bass. If I can call it a preamp. Kiesel, I love my bass and the fit and finish. Why do you have to put in a crap preamp?

5-Above the Tone Hammer and to the right is a Line6 G10S wireless. Very clear, and I don't get drop outs. However, I hate the dongle transmitter as it can break on basses with side jacks if one is not careful. The other issue is the darn sleep mode. The transmitter goes into sleep mode in about 2 minutes. There's no f'ing switch to disable sleep mode. Line6 *** are you thinking? Sleep mode on gigs is not a good thing. I'll probably switch to Shure once the fund kitty gets back up.

6- Below that, is my Polytune2. I've had it for 8 years or so, but always used a clip on since I was without a pedal board. Far superior to clip ons.

What's missing is the XLR cable from FOH for output. I attached it to the DI jack on the Tone Hammer. Waiting on the XLR male mod. You can see the standard XLR jacks don't work well with Temple boards. In fact either do the Mogami patch cables. Yes, I drank the Mogami koolaid because it was either that or cheap chinese patch cables. They were out of EBS patch cables. Mogami puts a warning on the package saying that it contains chemicals that are known to cause cancer, infertility, and development issues within California. Darn, no wonder why I'm a mediocre bass player. If I only lived outside of California, I would have better bass development.

This is a work in progress. I slapped it together the day before the gig.

ETA: The board is a Temple Duo 24.

Took my Meteo 20 down to a Nano+ today. Haven't been using much of the filter and phaser lately and with a few gigs coming up these next two weeks, I don't need to carry extra stuff just because.

Polytune, OC-2, Phat Phuk B clone my wife built, Alma, Oracle, DC7. Direct to Bose towers and B2 subs. Sounds glorious and is the easiest load out I've ever had.

Last update of my mini board for a while. I promise! MXR Mini VBO arrived. What a great pedal.
Changes: SFX mThump moved to under the board, Mini Spark on, VBO replaces Sub n Up, EQ7 moved to end just before Modele B. Riser under loop box to replace mThump. Modele B has so much output on tap this set up can my Berg IP310. If I am running into an amp I can replace the EQ7 with the Valeton Coral MDR which I use as either a phaser or tape echo. MDR has a really good Chorus also, but the Ibanez mini is better.
Signal chain is: Tuner>mThump>Spark>Loop Box (with oct, OD, filter in the loop)>CompIQ>Chorus>EQ7>Modele B

Super Frantabit landed and went thru the Effects loop of the 3leaf chromatron and its super fun. looking for recommendations on what are ya’ll using as expression pedals for your IE’s?View attachment 7001304

I use & recommend the Dunlop Expression pedals. They're rock solid & come in whatever size you might need.

I use the Mini when I want the pedal on the pedalboard or the X8 if I have a bit more room to work with. I also have a Dunlop XL Expression that is fantastic off to the side of the pedalboard.

Mission Engineering Aero EP-25-Pro. This is the expression pedal to get: the curved pedal is ergonomically superior, the build quality is robust, and the two TRS outputs means you can control two separate pedals with just one expression pedal. Or, with two Mission Engineering Expressionators, you can control six pedals. Of course, if you are using MIDI pedals (so not Iron Ether) you can control even more depending on your setup.
