Show me your compact pedalboard setup

20240824_161749.jpg

I'm experimenting with a small board that uses a rechargeable power supply. The downside is that it's too bulky to put underneath, but it's easy to put right in back. I'm planning on using this for bigger shared gigs where I'm playing through a backline with minimal changeover time. I'm not sold on these exact pedals yet, but they are giving me some fun options.

Could you add a layer underneath to make it a double decker just for the power?

I'm considering a Cali76; I guess these three little ones will be able to make room for it in their bed without being too cramped...

They're all here! Killer bass tone! Thanks to the TBer matdras for this magnificent blue label!

So far, no issues with the Harley Benton, although I’m aware that half of the pedals have high power consumption (running at 18v). I hope it lasts!

Hope you’re doing “She’s Tight”. Been trying to talk the band into doing that one for a while. One of us guys would have to sing it because our lead singer, she’ll have none of that song. :roflmao::cool:

It was a challenge to come up with two sets of Cheap Trick material, so yeah, "She's Tight" is definitely in the list. :bassist:

FYI our Robin Zander happens to be female and she has no problem with that tune, but I don't recommend that you go to your singer to explain that. :bag:

Looks sweet & as if that one sound is Djent/Metal adjacent... Is the pedal between the VT & RFE an Underground Accelerator?
Absolutely, actually more punk HxC / grind etc... But trying to keep a lot of attack and articulation. MBD2 is used "just" as a boost, it is a bit of shame for such a good pedal but I tried different options and none worked as good as this (still I prefer the Rat texture on top for aggression).
And yes, an Underground accelerator (from a kit, love this look)

Surely your have to run the micro thump under the board and get an agro on there??
Love me an all Aguilar board.
Well, I do not like Agro very much. To my ear, Tone Hammer have far superior overdrive.
Otherwise this pedalboard serves as a studio-board (I built a small studio @ home).
Personally from all those effects , I tend to use none :)
What rocks my boat is just a tuner and an amp (ok, Micro-Thumpinator can go between).

Here is my do it all board, as I play in 3 different bands.

HX Stomp XL is the center of it all. Sends midi to my C4 via SA-168 midi adapter; Harmonic Booster for specific tone shaping OR boost (depending on the band / bass I use); Empress Compressor, and the Volume X mini for expression (configured to be usable both in HX Stomp and C4). Powered by a CS-7 underneath.
