Show me your compact pedalboard setup

I've posted my pedalboard in this thread, but stopped since I see more minimalist boards here now.
Same for me. I used flats since I started playing again last summer. The IMA strings are the best of both worlds. They sound great, last long, and are the perfect tension for me. I highly recommend them.

Point taken on the size of my board. Won’t post here again.

I wasn't saying you shouldn't post here... I think our pedalboards fits the description of a compact board, but it seems more minimalist pedalboards are posted here. I think both larger compact and minimalist boards are fine??? but either way... I enjoy seeing everyones pedalboard setups.

I love your pedalboard. What volume pedal do you use?

I have the same Pedalnetics switch for my Kilt in black. The G2 adds so much fuzz. Do you use it at church?
It's the Jim Dunlop Volume (X) 8 pedal.

Only time I use the G2 fuzz in church is during rehearsals and run throughs. I haven't found the nerve to use it live yet... haha... but David Funk used it on his latest YT Bass cover vid of a Peter Mattis song playthrough. It sounds great when he plays with the recording, but you can tell much fuzz the G2 adds when he does his bass "parts breakdown" of the song... which is the last part of the vid. He makes it sound great because he's comfortable with it... which I'm not... 🫣💀

This week's Easter services worship compact board. I'm lugging a Moog along this week, so keeping the pedal board compact and simple.

I don't think there ought to be a ton of gatekeeping on this issue, speaking personally; compact, by definition can mean either small in overall size compared to a larger equivalent, or as being densely/tightly packed together in a larger overall space. So whether your board is Nano-size, or bigger and crammed tight, I see no reason not to post or share.

With regards to anybody who would feel inclined towards having a moan about this sort of thing, well... let's just say they're probably not the sort of person I'd hang out with at a party! So @RCM-Bass and @erayser I'd say just live your best pedalboard sharing life lol.

Pretty sure I did this a while back in this thread, but I guess there's been a little change to both of these. But anyways, I present to you "both" options, wherein everybody can be happy (with the obvious exception being my selection of pedals LOL):

Flats? I'm surprised. I'll have to check them out. I keep returning to NYXL's.
Your board is so nice you should definitely keep posting here, and everywhere.

They are technically round wounds. Polished round wounds, though. They’re smooth, not quite as smooth as flats, but I believe they’re considered round wounds.

About to try some of these on a jazz. Don’t think they’d be that great on a P but could be way off. Comments about how long they’re lasting sold me.

How do the DCX Bass and Np work together? It would seem their EQ covers similar territory?
I mostly use the DCX in EQ mode to saturate the Np. I like to dial in my bass from the Np. Although they do cover similar eq points, I find that it's more defined vs DCX. Lately, been playing around cranking the HF of the DCX and then rolling it off with the voicing switch, I've dialled a nice tone that I like and been using live.

The rig for a couple sets this week after trying out a bunch of stuff. Signal chain is clockwise around starting at the MORE and out of the Finally Top row and the ParaEQ always on. Tried a bunch of stuff in the first position, but came back to the MORE. Also tried out a bunch of drives, and the JIVE does the mild just incredibly, and preserves the core sound and just adds grit. Just tried out the Belle in place of the ODR-mini, and I like it a lot - having the optional switch to lower the amount of compression in the circuit is great. The Studio Boost was good in the first position, but it's also just a great boost that the downstream drives love.

I’ve narrowed it down to this, and I’ve been very pleased with the tone. It’s very similar to many boards in this group, as I mostly use the HXStomp now for effects like octave, chorus, delay, or synth bass sounds.View attachment 7208504
Nice board. I feel like you DCX Bass Black version!! 🤣

I find the CAPO really tubey in it's own right. What does the Neptunium add to it?

Haha. Thanks! Definitely would like a black Dcx! With my custom Keith Roscoe, which is my main bass right now, I really like the Neptunium eq which gives a bit of low end plus a little high end zing and the perfect slight mid cut. It seems to really warm up the tone. I also like the bit of tube compression and overall feel. It’s noticeable.
