Show me your compact pedalboard setup

I agree that the Colourbox is clean and the while HPF and gain-stages are def designed for guitar the rest of it works great on a bass. If one is into the gain, well, knock yourself out. The gain stages also seem designed for guitar to me but work on the bass if you are into that sort of thing. I don't personally care for its gain stages on any of my guitars or basses. I have another HPF and other dirt boxen that I would use anyway so there is nothing lost for me there.

The semi-para EQ section is great and along with the preamp and Lundahl transformer sound are the reasons for getting the Colourbox, in mho. There are guitar-centric features but they are simply 'geewizzy' to me and do not detract from the sound of using it for the bass if one simply does not use those features.

I originally bought the Colourbox for bass but I now use it everywhere. Especially acoustic guitars lately.
I have the Colourbox v2 and I have to say that I love it. It adds some "magic" that I find really really pleasant. The EQ is also really powerful and I very very good. It is true that the gain stage, the distortion it produces, I don't like it for bass. But as a clean preamp, I think it is just amazing.

The final version of my board. Nothing compact about it, but it's not like really huge either.

I had to get the Sushi Box FX "More" replaced. And when the new one was shipped, I bought a Single Slice Compressor to swap out with my Laney Black Country Customs "The Custard Factory". Removed the MXR M85 Bass Distortion pedal. And added my tuner pedal where it's on all the time, and ran my AMP B out to a HPF filter if needed for an amp that doesn't have a HPF. Amp A out has no HPF on it as my Mesa heads have built in HPF in them already

My two boards updated:

Board #2: Simple. Peterson Tuner-->JHS Prestige-->Ampeg Opto Comp-->JHS Colourbox v2. I use the Prestige to give a little boost and also to have similar signals from different basses. The Ampeg Opto Comp because I wanted an optical compressor and I kinda like it. And the JHS Colourbox is a really really good clean preamp. I made this board because last time I recorded for a singer, the producer just use a Neve kind of preamp and an LA2A compressor and I just love the sound. The Colourbox is the closer I got in a pedal. The Opto Comp might be replaced in the future, but so far, so good.

And this is my main board:
A few days ago Jad Freer uploaded this image. I must admit that it took me some time to fully understand its potential and I think it is a game changer (for me). With the HX Stomp I always had this "internal fight" that if I put the preamp before the HX Stomp (or in the loop) I lose the ability to have a DI, and if I put it at the end, there are some effects that are affected by the preamp. With this solution, I can have the Capo anywehre in the chain inside the HX Stomp and still being able to use the DI. I can even use both DIs out because one would be still totally clean and the other one with all the chain.

So this is my pedalboard, plain and "not-so" simple:
Canvas Tuner-->Jad Freer Capo
In the loop: HX Stomp
In the loop of the HX Stomp: Cali76
With this pedalboard, I can have the Cali76 and the Capo anywhere in the chain of the HX Stomp. I hace currently a chorus effect after the Capo and it sounds much better after than before it.

I had one and I sold it. But I love it. I think it is an awesome compressor and I will think about adding it. That way I could have it a the end of the chain
The Pulp & Peel is great at the end of the chain with it's EQ & DI. New only $175~ on Black Friday/EoY discount? Pretty good deal.

I updated my main gigging board:

Nanomax Updated.jpg

I swapped the Peterson tuner for the full sized version, and added the Quint. We may be with out a Keys player for a few gigs, and I also have room for the MXR Synth pedal is that ever become available. And, finally, I added the TC Helicon Duplicator for some reverb, pitch correction, and maybe some doubling. Still powering everything with the Cioks DC7 and I still have to clean up the wiring.

Why did You swapped the Peterson tuner for the full sized version?

New setup ( for now)
The one control is to bring the Arkham in or out.
I leave it on when I’m ampless or for recording but when I run my amp ( sisma, also B15ish) I have the option to set it up as a nice little tube hair on occasion.

Fun setup

Also,

Any creative ideas to how I can add power and in/ out under a flat Pedaltrain would be greatly appreciated .
