Clearly there's no pedalboad but could you at least push the pedals together so they appear 'compact'??
May favorite floor effect this weekend was definitely the big black round one on the right.
The Boss BC-1X is such a great, and overlooked, compressor.
Agreed. It's been my favorite for years. Has the right balance of ease of use, and doing its job well.
I've also accidentally poured hot coffee on it. No damage aside from the knob letters and gain reduction numbers getting messed up.

This is the board i’ve used lately at rehearsals and such. It just works and sounds as good as my other board with ”better” compressor, drives and preamps.
Gonna build a better looking board for this and pretty much call it a day.
Power supply is oe from what came with the stomp, and just a splitter to the mc6. Works great!
I had a Boss compressor back in the early 70's, but it was brown, no idea what model it was. It did a little, but not much. I used to put the neck p'up on my rick 4001 through it and run the bridge to a phaser. It is entirely possible that the lack of performance was not the Boss's fault, but my ignorance in not knowing how to set it properly.
Nothing back then came with instructions and there was no internet.

I have some actually - and for the tight spaces I actually prefer the older skinny ones. Since they're slim and more flexible, I can route them separate from the audio cables, and sneak them directly underneath the pedal, in between two squares of dualok.
I could probably make it work if I used squares instead of strips on the board to provide a little more clearance, but then it's more likely to come up with the pedal when taking them off.
Updated the Baby Max with a switch to scroll through the Bass Synth presets, and swapped out the EQD Spatial Delivery for an MXR Bass Envelope Filter. This board is, dare I say, done!
My small board - the EBS is nice for sending two DIs - one with the amp emulator and the second with the effects loop added. The H90 does some things awesome and the rest good enough for the gigs I use it for.
That old Boss pedal wouldn't have performed multi-band compression like the BC-1X or had headroom from 18v input circuitry. The BC-1X analyzes frequency/overtones/dynamics with a DSP chip then applies compression to those dimensions dynamically, instead of splitting-then-summing individual bands like conventional multiband compressors. Because the internal algorithm treats the signal as a cohesive whole while applying varied compression to different registers, it avoids (nearly all) phase cancellation.
It has all the basic features I need: compression, drive, EQ and tuner.
Last night live board. The Accountant was a bit redundant with the BB turned on all the time. The Onward is so cool but it disappears in a rock mix.
