A couple of Perry’s , a Custom Ernie Ball, and Getem . The leopard matches them all but variety is the spice of life.
Mostly seated. This has always been one of my favourite pics on this site
I have recently converted to playing seated on a stool with bass between my thighs (like how Janek does). Because of this, all my wide neoprene straps are now redundant and seemingly falling off my shoulders even in the shortest position. I am now thinking of moving back to the narrower and shorter straps like the ones you’ve got so my basses balance well.
Do you play your basses standing? My StingRays are pretty heavy so it got me wondering how you are dealing with the weight with the narrow straps?
I did wonder about this. Do you think the straps will work ok if you had to play a set standing? May be you got lucky with the weight of those basses? Me getting old and not likey heavy no moreMostly seated.
All of my Rays are under 9 lbs.I did wonder about this. Do you think the straps will work ok if you had to play a set standing? May be you got lucky with the weight of those basses? Me getting old and not likey heavy no more![]()

I am really sorry to hear this but the straps look wonderful and you have my utmost respect for serving the bass community with top notch products!RIP Gecko Leather Works
I closed the shop up this past June.
Here are some straps I made for myself over the years and still use.
I'm kinda funny about my straps matching basses. I have a blue bass being built by the lovely and talented @jedibass.
But I never made myself a blue strap. I ordered 2 from Italia straps.
I don't know how they do it $$. Great straps at great prices when they have a sale, which is constantly

Love, love, love the Monk pin! This is the case candy strap that came with my StingRay when I bought it 47 years ago. Jeri Hart fully rehabbed it with a new leather tail, matching stitching, and suede backing. The "Monk" pin has been in there so long it won't come out.
My 'Ray is 9 pounds on the dot.
