Here's my '75 Jazz. This bass was a horrific shoe-polish brown when I got it (definitely non-original finish). My best friend refinished it for me, I thought he did a magnificent job.

You have 5 knobs and 2 are stacked what do they do? I'm thinking stacked volume, blend, Bass, stacked mid, treble, mid freq select switch, active/passive switch. So why is the vol knob stacked? And the mid stacked too?

Coming from an owner of a t40 myself, i'd say if you've seen one you seen them all. I'd confuse yours for mine if it wasn't for the stickers I have on mine. It just goes to show how well the qc was on these bad boys, there is little to no difference from another, same goes for the wood chosen.

Note that those jagged markings are called medullary rays. Took me forever to figure out if those markings in a couple of my basses were ash borer trails. They are not. I have seen them in some really high end basses.

In other words, lets see that grain!
