My apartment isn’t big but it’s tall, so I just stack everything vertically- computer for recording, monitors, assorted cable bins, pedal storage, work area for pedalboard and shipping stuff (currently occupied by my daughter’s Christmas village)- all on a couple 7’ shelves with a five instrument stand between them. My bigger cab thankfully lives at my friend’s studio.

Hey, since you’re in Japan... My wife and I will have a vacation there in February. I wanted to check out the guitar shops in the Ochanomizu area.

Do you happen to know the stores in that area? I only looked around using Google street view but some of the stores’ signage is in Japanese text only. I wanted to check online inventories of those shops before I go.

Sorry buddy. I live on the west coast country side. They are really behind on tech here, so websites are not kept and are very outdated if they even have a site. Best bet is just to come and explore.

If you have a chance, go to Ishibashi in Shinjuku it's wonderland for gearheads!!!!

The other bassist in my band have a cat and the little ball of fury attack cables the moment we stop playing. If we play, she leaves the room to go to sleep. Confusing!

My own cat only appears in the music if I open my Les Paul hardcase. I am pretty sure he thinks it is his bead.

Man, some of you guys have amazing rooms, I bet the acoustics are really nice. And @Ken R has more instruments than some music stores I've seen. Extremely jealous.

Living in a small apartment, I don't have a huge room, but I have it filled with as much gear as I possibly can afford on a journalist's salary. The acoustic kit is actually in another room.

Just one guitar and one bass these days. They're the keepers, amazing instruments.
