Sorry guys...I didn't mean to tease...
Joe Smithberger - It's the same color as FenderP's but the pickguard is different. It's a amber-brown Italian celluloid material. Looks great and complements the butterscotch color very nicely.
Richnota - You've got me figured out!
FenderP - Thanks for the inspiration to buy a Solid 4.
I hope to post pictures and more info next week. Stand by...
Really? It's only 7-8 months old. How are the tone controls on the current basses?
Ain't no slots in that there nut...yet...or something.
Lately, I've found that tracking via UPS and FedEx has become less reliable. They are using 3rd party carriers for "long" hauls in many instances. I've had to call Mr.Brown or FedEx on many occasions to get updated info.
And on another topic, I should be joining this club pretty soon!
Well, despite the UPS fear, everything turned out ok! There were a few harsh dings on the box, but the case was bubble wrapped very nicely and the case was intact. The contents were intact as well. It plays great and balances great on the strap. On the knee, it's a tad neck heavy without any right arm pressure. Minimal right arm involvement neutralizes that.
It sounds pretty good, but will sound great in a week or two when the strings break in.
