show us your bass tattoo's

You would have to be ******** to get a bass tattoo. I think it is funny that some of you would admit to that.

the thread is called "show us your bass tattoos", not "give us your negative opinion of those who have bass tattoos" lol. i dont have one. i swore i would never get a bands name tattooed on me, but it has become my life and profession, so i did. i dig the tattoo pics !

Most of them dont have lines so how do you know theyre F clefs? I dont know much about theory, but from what ive read the diff between F, C and G clefs is which line they are placed on. So most of these are just general bass clefs since there are no lines right? And no matter what type of clef it is, all three still generally designate bass notes, and fit the theme of what everyone here was shooting for. Minus maybe the fish one, ha. And I doubt anyone got their ink due to this thread.

It has absolutely nothing to do with your lack of theory.
(But maybe your reading comprehension skills)

The clefts are absolute.
There's no such thing as a "general bass clef".
The dots after the bass clef denote which staff line is F.
So even though it can be placed up or down a staff line it will ALWAYS and forever be an F clef. It is never correctly called anything else.

The F clef is different from the G clef which is different from the C clef. They are not interchangable.
And NO they do not all "generally designate bass notes".

The G Clef is the treble clef. It denotes the G staff line.
The C Clef is the alto clef. It denotes the C staff line.
The F Clef is the bass clef. It denotes the F staff line.

And there are rather obvious differences in the three clefs.

For those of you who don't know what the three clefs look like I have attacked images of all three.
From top to bottom they are;
G/treble clef
C/alto clef
F/bass clef

HAHAHA. Very true. But all these negative opinions have me cracking up at work... Some of these tattoos are ridiculous but I like some of them. I have yet to get a tattoo but I might be considering something.... :hyper::hyper::hyper:
