It's the faint letters across the top of that image that have got me curious...

I flipped and inverted it and can make out "age" but can't make out the rest...

Have you got natural watermarks in your skin???

My next tattoo is going to be something bass related but haven't came up with any designs yet. I was thinking of having the tab to Fire by Hendrix start at the base of my neck and then circle down and around my upper arm.

actually your post hints that you infact have several bad tattoos and are trying to convince yourself that they are kitsch rather than done by a crap/beginner/amatuer tattoo artist.

It has a very comic book style to it... I hate Korn, I hate Ibanez, And I HATE Fieldy... But that tattoo isn't too shabby, I have a thing for comics.

Cartoony stuff can be really awesome, when it's well done.

Shaky lines and poor shading do not indicate a good tattoo.
