Show us your F-Bass

That has to be my favorite Natural finish F Bass! The fingerboard is off the hook and the matching Spalt maple headstock is pure class! Wow!

Thanks! Actually, it's flamed spalted ambrosia. I'll have to take some shots that do a better job of showing off the flaming on the body. You can see it better in the headstock photo.

And how about that Nordy Vj5 too? Sweet! But I have to admit, all those knobs look a little busy to my eye. Perhaps they are more user friendly in the real world.

Thanks, again! I am equally happy with both the BN4 and the Nordy. Regarding the knobs, you have vol/blend/tone, and bass, mid, and treble, which is very similar to the F Bass vol/vol/tone with bass, mid and treble. Both the Nordy and the F Bass have push/pull for active/passive and for coil tap. Both are quite easy to use and intuitive, at least IME/IMHO, though YMMV.

Yeah, the necks on F's are the perfect size for me! That FB is off the chain! I would still like to get my hands on a BN4 (right after I get my hands on some more money). When can we expect a write-up in "BassGuitar"?

Well, there might be a BN5 in the mag sometime soon.... :ninja:

Here are a couple of shots of my new (to me) BN4 and of the BN5 which I was recently able to review:

The top on the five is amazing. Some of the best buckeye I've ever seen. Is that one of the ones that was at the Groove Shoppe?

No, that was sent to me by George to review for the mag, and I just forwarded it on to Juan Ortiz at Bass and Beyond.

And yes, that buckeye top is just incredible. Some of my favorite buckeye, for sure.

Here is my humble, standard, but oh-so beloved F Bass BN5.

That is a beauty! And the 'standard' F Basses are anything but 'run of the mill.' :smug: FWIW, the BN5 I have on order with George will be a solid northern ash body, blue burst finish, and birdseye board.
