I honestly don't know. I left it up to Martin. I believe closer to 3".Is that 2” or 3” thick?
What's the body wood?
@emjazz any updates on your 6?
For folks that don't follow Martin on IG, I'll leave this beauty here:
Oh.... I like this post. Here is my Elfin 5 Plus. It’s got a pretty interesting electronics setup going on right now.
It starts with a 16 Position Stellartone ToneStyler with a 4-Way Dingwall Pickup Switch and a straight up on/off volume toggle switch (I need to find a black washer and nut for the switch). The volume is in my hands. Lol. I love this bass.
I’ve been thinking about installing Nordstrand Big Splits....

I'm now in the predicament of deciding what I'm willing to sell to fund a fretted build with Martin.Love the Citrons in my Elfins.Passive electronics, too.
About a couple of weeks away!
It's a really tough time for so many. This is a replacement for the one that I payed for four years ago....otherwise there'd be no way I could afford it!That's going to be incredible! I really wish I could get another 6 from Martin, but some other expenses have to take precedence.

Yeah, we both went into the first one knowing it was a new idea and knowing it may not work. He fixed it a couple of times and then offered to make a new body. Very grateful. And how great is Martin, that he would do this?!? He's not satisfied unless the owner is. To call him a class act is an understatement.
New bridge design....should be finished tonight or tomorrow...and then the bass is done!!
