Agreed!!We just went with 'antique violin satin'. It's looking amazing.
Great to hear, Mike!Much as I’ve been enjoying playing my hollowbody, I’d been feeling a bit sad that it isn’t really something that fits into my main gigs doing pop and rock and church music…
Then, out of the blue, I got a call asking me to join a local samba/bossa nova group, where I think it will be an absolutely perfect fit doubling upright and nylon string guitar parts. I’m very excited! (There’s also the fact that it’s a group my wife’s deceased husband founder many years ago, which makes it extra meaningful for her…)
Great to hear, Mike!
I've had different types of gigs lately, and have been playing a medium scale 5 constantly....but pulled out my semi hollow last night for a session and it immediately felt like home. Always good to have different tools for different jobs....but wait until you play that hollowbody with a group. ; )
Oh man...I knew that you'd love it!! The best part about these semi hollows and hollows is how they open over time. They just keep getting better!!First rehearsal with the new Latin band, and the MK hollowbody was absolutely perfect! Just the right blend of “upright” and “flamenco guitar”…plus my band mates ooo’d and ahhh’d over how beautiful it is!
So you kept it, eh? ; )I love to pieces my 32" semi hollow 6, with tapes. good lord its a great bass
A gorgeous new bass that Martin posted!
