Gorgeous! I was just talking to Martin about your bass yesterday. It's going to be amazing. That finish looks perfect, as does the binding and that maple!
Much as I’ve been enjoying playing my hollowbody, I’d been feeling a bit sad that it isn’t really something that fits into my main gigs doing pop and rock and church music…
Then, out of the blue, I got a call asking me to join a local samba/bossa nova group, where I think it will be an absolutely perfect fit doubling upright and nylon string guitar parts. I’m very excited! (There’s also the fact that it’s a group my wife’s deceased husband founder many years ago, which makes it extra meaningful for her…)

I've had different types of gigs lately, and have been playing a medium scale 5 constantly....but pulled out my semi hollow last night for a session and it immediately felt like home. Always good to have different tools for different jobs....but wait until you play that hollowbody with a group. ; )

First rehearsal with the new Latin band, and the MK hollowbody was absolutely perfect! Just the right blend of “upright” and “flamenco guitar”…plus my band mates ooo’d and ahhh’d over how beautiful it is!
Oh man...I knew that you'd love it!! The best part about these semi hollows and hollows is how they open over time. They just keep getting better!!
There's an amazing fretless 5 that Martin made in the classifieds. I'm grateful it has 19mm spacing because I'd be scrambling. I've been really into the 32" scale fretted that I have here, and that fretless would make for a perfect companion

In other news, my MK hollowbody has been my go-to for practices with my new Latin band. This week, I took my Bordwell solid body, just on a whim. The Bordwell sounds fantastic in other contexts, but this time, the MK was clearly the right tool for the job and my bandmates wanted it back
