You'd have to ask him yourself, but I believe @JIO does similar work on the West Coast.
Thanks, but if that's what the Italian currently charges for both making a body and gilding it - I can't compete ~
 
Man! There are some wonderful and amazing parts basses on this thread! Really enjoy seeing them!

Probably more so than playing bass, putting together parts basses is my "thing". A hobby. A love.

I have at least 6 too many parts basses. This one is probably my favorite because of the way it looks. Nothing special except for the mini cowhide guard.

A MIM Mike Dirnt road worn lacquer white body with an Allparts Tele Bass neck + aftermarket Fender decal. S. Duncan SPB-1 P pickup. Gotoh vintage reverse tuners. Fender vintage all thread saddle bridge. Made the guard myself with real cowhide Probably got $750 in this bass. I love it's conservative, modest and somewhat "natural" appearance.
