I've not had a problem with the EXLs of my MB2 - 5 (35")

Bought em at "juststrings" website.

silly question....is the b string settling all the way in the ferrule?

The Rotosound RS88 set also works just fine. They're only strings I use on my Deep (as well as my old Deep). I also use the RS77 set on my Solid 4 with no issues.

I saw your neck when it was in the early stages. Light, and resonant piece of wood. Should be an awesome bass.

Hi,

Rob send me pictures from the Deep 5 I should receive in the next 2 weeks.

I first placed a mouse order in february.
Here I have to thanks Spade2you, Nostatic, Richnota and Kwesi for having answered my questions.

More I went deeply in the reflexion, more I get the idea that a Deep would be more adapted to my goals : scale, close to DB sound, articulate tone, and a low B.
Indeed I am realy a 5 strings player.

I guess a mouse could have done the job also, but the low B made the difference.

So I changed my mouse order for a Deep 5.

Rob have been realy nice and elegant from the begining.
He answered to my many mails (toooo many) and makes me feel in the goods hands.

The top is Bastogne Walnut. I realy love this kind of figured wood, figured, "but not too much".
I wondered if one of you have a Deep made with this same wood ?
I go for black hardware.

And now I have to wait for 2 weeks...

It is still a small number.

Deep 4. Walnut top that has actually darkened up over the past few months. Alder body, walnut neck, black hardware. It is a stunning bass. My 5 sits on the wall - the D4 goes to every jazz gig I have.
