Wow! Have you post a picture of your MB2 6 string?

s2-1.jpg

I posted it a while back and it's also featured on his site. I think I've had it for 2-3 years or so.

Came across this at NoTreble, and thought you guys would dig it.

Thanks to Pacman for the above link. I think it's fantastic! I mentioned this youtube to Rob almost two months ago and it turns out that he knows the bassist, Peter Kastner quite well.

Rob's comment to me was "He's REALLY good, even much better than this video shows(!) and he teaches also at LA Music Academy, a couple of my friends study with him and really like him."

It's been a while (ok... a long while) since I've had a teacher so I asked me so I asked Rob to put me in touch with Peter. The result is that I'm now taking weekly lessons from him via skype.

It's been going very well and I'm growing leaps and bounds.

I asked him if he's open to additional students and he tells me that he has room in his schedule for up to four more students. I asked Peter if it was ok to my fellow Rob Allen fans on Talkbass. He said ok, so I'm passing this on. If your looking for a really good teacher, pm me and I'll give you his e-mail address.

@Thombas: I tried the Mouse and my Taki B10 thru a TC RH450 and Classic 450 into BC 210 at a local store today.

Sound appears even across the full spectrum, and a very usable full-but-clear tone for live use. Adding tube-tone and multi-band comp gave it a more 'forward' sound, crossing over to suit louder songs/gigs and filling a fretted basses role quite convincingly.

Hi Doc, sorry for the fall-out there. Yes, I'vce found it to be a useful combo live too. I Dial the bass beck a bit, add a tad of upper mids a light touch of tubetone and comp, and it get's the "wood" out in the sound quite well, i think.

Hey everyone. I've started researching Rob's basses and I'm extremely interested in getting a mouse 30. However, I haven't seen a single used mouse for sale. (I view that as a compliment to the quality of the basses.)

I'm not sure if I should post this here but - if anyone wants to sell a mouse 30( fretless). Please PM me.

Otherwise - I appreciate everyone's input on these basses. I'm definitely getting one.

Post what you want in the Wanted to Buy section, and bump the heck out of it.

It might take a few months, but one will come up.
