Wow! It's beautiful - I love the no-lines fingerboard. I wish that I spend enough time on the fretless to have no lines :)

This bass intonates itself - really incredible how easy this is. My previous fretless is/was a Stingray5 - which is a really good fretless but this really is a big step up. If I'm not too tired when the kids are in bed I might make a small youtube.

Once again: people that have doubts about whether or not getting fretlines: you DO NOT need them if you're worried your intonation will be off (not on a Rob Allen at least :p )

Looks like Rob knocked yet another one out of the park! Kudos to you DeadPoet, may this heavenly instrument give you many long hours of enchantment and satisfaction.

Does anyone out there play a fretless RA at acoustic gigs?

I ask as I have a fairly inexpensive ABG that is hard to play and isn't the most reliable bass I own. I don't feel like spending $1500 for a Martin/Taylor/Guild acoustic I will rarely gig.

My acoustic gig is with 2 guitarists and we play everything including alternative, reggae, country, blues and classic rock.

I will bring the RA to my next patio gig in a week or so, but thought I would ask for opinions/thoughts.

Thanks!
