A very talented local luthier named Gene Linerty made a bass body for me about 25 years ago that I finished myself with an aftermarket neck and other parts.

Recently, I stumbled upon one of Gene's custom built neck through guitars for sale from the original owner at a terrifically low price so I snapped it up.

I'm currently upgrading the pickups in my bass to the EMG Les Claypool gold signature set.

Both instruments are flamed maple, but the guitar is painted a dark, transparent blue so it doesn't show up as well in pictures.

You mean one like this? Guess it's a good thing I have two of 'em, then. And, yes, the leftys really are hard to find anymore.

Sorry; this is the best I can do, picture-wise. It's an early 1st gen. Korean Danelectro DC59 Pro, from 1999/2000. I can't load - or access - my picture files with this laptop, and TBH? I don't think there is a picture of the two of them together. One - the more beat up of the two - was purchased as a project bass, and was taken apart as soon as I got it. Stayed that way for many years, and never had it's picture taken; although, it's pieces are in the background of many other bass' pictures. These DC59's are my only twins; my herd is too large (24 of the things) to be screwing around with duplicates, anyhow. If you feel that you just have to look at 2 of these 50's diner counter-top metalflake Masonite wonders? Bonk yourself in the head with something hard, until you see double...
