2512's are 8 ohm speakers. i have the 4 of mine mine wired with a switch to select between series/parallel (8 ohms) and all parallel (2ohms) so i can run it with either just about any head, or with my SVT (2ohms).

I play through a Behringer guitar 4x12, if that counts.

Haha, I used to use a Behringer BG412F with the head of a Fender BXR 60 combo. Even used it for a high school jazz band performance .
Not a bad guitar cab, but about the most miserable thing for bass, given its dB/cu. ft. ratio.

I present the odd and rare, SVT 412 HE. I think Ampeg only made these for a couple of years, from what I read it was a made for Geezer Butler thing.

i love my 4x12 too. i used this rig last friday night with no FOH on a big stage in a huge airport hangar (there was tons of natural 'cathedral' verb ) and it just filled up the whole room, yet was still super punchy.

Here's an old sealed 1972 Marshall 412 w/ Rola Greenie Celestion G12Ms (GE T1511)

Not much of a cab. Rated 100w @ 4Ω. Running it with a 60w Sunn 200s and it doesn't cut it. Breaks up pretty quickly around "5". "7" is really pushing it.

...but it's an old school classic so I'll keep it -- hell, I never get rid of stuff. Bought it for$100. Works OK in bi-amp situations where it just handles high end.

For the SWR 12-stack guys, I recommend putting in two Beta's on one side - much better bottom end while keeping the mids and crunchy top end from the stock speakers. That is what is in Marley's cab. Normally I would be hesitant about mixing speakers, but it worked out really well in this case.

I had both of these for a brief moment but kept the one with the silver grill as I liked the thicker "Rhino" tolex. Best sounding cabs I have ever played through.
