I am wanting to get a 8x10 cab ampeg. right now i just have a 4x10 ampeg cab(just the regular classic one), with the b2r head. soon all that will go. And I will be getting 8x10 cab, with a ampeg head. What style head should i get?
My b2r is 350 at 4 ohms.. and the svt-3 is at 450.. thats only a 100 watts more, do you think i shuold go for somtehing more??
right now my b2r peaks out on the 8 ohm 4x10 cabinet and i dont get it. When i tried out the 350h head (same as b2r, just looks classic) on the 8x10 stack, it worked fine, no peaking, with volume on half way. can someone explain?

It could be the ohms, because the 8x10 is a 4 ohm and the 4x10 is a 4 ohm.

@ Billy B-

We had a gig the first day it snowed up here, and imagine getting that thing up and down icy, snowy steps... It's all good though.

Peace,

Finally got a chance to take a picture of my partial rig.

In the Pic:
-DBX 160A Compressor
-Boss VF-1 Effects Processor
-Aguilar DB728 Tube Power Amp
-Aguilar GS212 Cabinet
-Hartke Kickback 12 (blown speaker, D'oh!)
-Fender Frontman Reverb (*gasp* A guitar amp?!?! How'd that get there?! ;)) with the sub from a Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 computer speaker set plugged into it
-pair of Sennheiser headphones
-Boss MT-2 pedal
-Various books that have found their way into my room ( )

Right now I'm using the 160A as a preamp and the VF-1 as an EQ until I finish saving for an Aggie DB680. I have to admit, it works quite well.

Check out this rockin' rig. I am back in school to finish my grad degree. I don't have any gigs and certainly won't have any until after I graduate (hopefully). Until then this is what I've got to work with. Besides, the 12 inch combo I was using before I got the tiny 8, freaked out my children who are 2 and 4 yrs old. Someday I'd like to get a 12 or 15 inch SWR combo from the workingmans series. Notice there are no knobs on the cabinet, my kids like to play jump rope and tug of war with my cables.

Sometimes I run both cabs at 500 watts each. Other times I use a carvin 210 wedge giving the bags 175 watts each and the carvin 350watts.

Hey J-SONICBOOM now I know who bought the other S15-cus. I assume you got it at bass northwest?
