Do you only use the TubePre for recording, or do you also take it with you for live stuff? Could you explain your rig-chain (aka where is the TubePre in the rig?)? Thanks! Awesome budget setup...I admire those as much as the high-dollar setups...especially if they sound the same at the end!

just got it today...and for 150 bucks (canadian!) for that cab...im loving it
plus..my brothers gonna repaint the grill all black with some spraypaint...and spraypaint on a nice big shamrock...
hes also gonna paint the outside all orange..and if the orange doesnt work out ill just get it carpeted.
i'll post a pic in a couple weeks when shes complete.

Here's my Fender BXR200, shown with accompanying single-switch pedal (for the built in chorus) and my distortion pedal. It was bought used in 1997, and I've had it ever since. It's a good amp, if it had outputs for extra cabs and double the power, I'd never consider replacing it.

It's a true combo amp, as it not only combines a head and cab, but it does double duty as my nightstand, as well!

What a coinkydink. I played through a BXR combo last night at rehearsal. I don't recall the wattage, but I was really impressed. I used my Fender RB5 strung with TI flats and got a really nice warm vintage sound. I'm sure it would do well with modern sounds too.

For just 200 watts running to a single 15, it's pretty loud, and pretty transparent. All the different buttons and knobs and the 9 band EQ give me lots and lots of options for how I want the sound to come out, and the chorus on it rocks and is depth and rate adjustable. Like I said, if it had more power and some extension cab jacks in the back to accompany the XLR outputs and the effects loop, I'd just buy a 4x10 or something and call it a day.

It took me about 2 full week end to build them both.
and it costs me about 500 € (600 $)
The reason why i decided to build my own cabs was the cost. i need 2 light cabs i can handle individually and In europe the 12" cabs are out ouf price (aguilar or eden for example)and very hard to find.
When i see the prices in the US i :bawl:

It also cost me some trouble with my wife :D
