I'd love to try and build one of these cabinets. Not that I need one, I just think it would be a fun project. unfortunatley a lack of tools and a work area make it next to impossible. Someday though...

How about making an omni 10 with 2510's and then a half sized omni 10.5 with a single 2510. then you have the option of practice/small gig, med gig, bigger gig. still 3 drivers, still avg 2.7 ohms, but without any modifications and with some added flexibility.
Don't think for a moment that two 2510s in an O10 will replace an 8x10; I'm a speaker designer, not a magician. OTOH, two 2510 loaded O10s would give an 8x10 a pretty good run for the money.

Tuba 36. No finished product pictures yet. I'll get those on Sunday.
Tuba 36's, Tuba 48, Omni 12 top.![]()
As far as "my sound" goes, I'll use my 15" Carvin and my 212 Carvin for the studio tone. I'm needing to be heard right now. So I'm under the impression you built the OT2x15 and not the 1x15 and just kinda curious, is there a decent volume curve when turning up the master volume? Ie. volumeset on 4 is way to loud but put it on 3 and yu cant hear it or is smooth and predictibal as you turn it up. The reason I ask is I have a good friend that has couple of way older horn loaded Carvin 15's and they go from not so loud to way to loud real easy.
I have two Deltalite II 2510s en-route, that i ordered up last week, but, its going to take a lot to even get close to me replacing my 810.
The Omni 10 Looks like a good bet. I wanted something to define the high end a little more, The Tweet in my 2-12 finally crapped. I winded up just disconnecting it and now I find myself lacking in the upper and upper mid. I really just want something to define all freq. Though, I really like what my 2-12 does, I want more.
Echo...Echo...Echo!
Will the O10 get me what my 2-12 doesn't?
Dude...build a fully loaded Omni 12. Do it according to BFM specs. You will get more.![]()
I can't, its more than I can spend. I might be able to scrape up the 150 for the O10, but I can't come off $300. But yeah the Charts look sweet on that one. Maybe I'll be allowed on the BF forum so I can pose my question there. I looked at the O10 charts again and it looks pretty good in the high end but really shines between 150-300hz. The db is crazy.
The carpeting job on that looks really sweet chris
Acoustic Chris, how do you you like the treble response from your eight tweeter array? Do you have an L-pad to fine tune it? I found the unattenuated tweeter in my Omni 12's to be too much for electric bass, to my ears. I had to go install an L-pad to get treble response where I like it.
I have heard of guys using simple on-off switches to cut the tweeters out entirely, and I may experiment with that.
