Here's mine

A Godin BG-IV with DS-3's and a Noll
two band preamp. I like it because the front
pickup gives a very P-bass sound (not too far forward)
and thus keeps some high end along with the thump,
and the rear pickup gives a nice Graham Maby click
sound. I can get Chris Squire Rickenbacker single coil
tones with this beast, and with a Full Drive stomp
box make your eyebrows twitch like some other
metaphysical bass player we all know

I received my LeCompte CBSC-4 (and a matching VB-5) on Friday. The Darkstars just kill in this bass, and I am amazed at the sonic range I can get with the dual-Darkstar, vol/vol/tone configuration (along with different right hand placement). I'm very, very impressed with this bass and the performance of the Darkstars.

I Had a passive "Decade" I got from the Dude.
Great bass.
Killer tone.
It had a Jazz style neck. ( 1 1/2)
IF IT WAS A P-BASS NECK? (1 3/4)
I would have keep it forever.

Darkstars are super pickups.

Simple and elegant is exactly what we had in mind in the design ...

Having seen the Cream 05 reunion with JB playing a 69ish EB-1
got me thinking of what a modern version might be like, more of an interpretation than a copy. With the 34" scale and bolt on wenge neck it is very detailed sounding with a great range from deep clean bass (no mud) to a nice airy top end.

... Really a stunning bass both sonically and visually.
