Thanks! I call it T2K (Tele 2000) It started life as a mustard coloured '06 '51RI P. I stripped it (not fun) did a body bevel on the back, routed for the pu's/pre, cut the pg, and sprayed lacquer clear over a hand-stained finish.

The other is the Factorbird, a '94 lined fretless Kubicki Ex-Factor neck (bought new in '94 from Phil) and my custom designed 3 piece Koa body to my '64 T-bird specs. It's had a few different pu's and pre's since I did it (late 90's) but the L-2000 setup works best.

Not seeing the tops of the clovers must have made you think they were pops (they do give that illusion in the pic) - which can be made by filing off the top 'hump' of the clover on these "elephant ear" tuners. Cool pic!

Yeah , you right LOL, I am still learning and my knowledge about this Fender Bass thing is still waaay too small :D
So is it more likely a '78 like Nick303 said?

As he said, the bullet truss-rod ending at the hs and decal (smaller block lettering than the large "muscle car" font used through '75) are the tip-offs. The tuner paddles remained large and w/tapered flutes (compared to exposed tabs at the shaft as on standard clovers) but by later 70's had smaller plates.

My 1978 Pre Ernie Ball Stingray and HD150 amp from about the same timeframe. I refuse to clean or polish or spiff up either one. The bass has some crazing, lots of swirls, some chips, rust and a lot of grime. I don't abuse it but I don't baby it either. It's my mojo queen.

Yep, getting much harder to find a nice one. I got lucky when I ran across this bass back in 2008. I don't know if MusicMan had an upgrade option but I've never seen another one with a heavily flamed neck like this one has...
