This is my Momose MJB1-STD/NJ in black with a relic nitro finish -

I bought this bass after trying a few relic Momose Jazz basses here in Tokyo and really loved the way this bass particularly felt and sounded. The store that I picked this bass up at was kind enough as well to swap out the relic white pick guard with a relic tortoise shell pick guard from the other model they had on display.

The ramp was added after and was originally a natural color before I sprayed over it with a black lacquer.

I love this bass!

After multiple trips to Pinterest, the hardest part is not repeating an image. The possibilities seem endless at first, but now it's passing by many images already posted in search of new ones.

I'm not surprised. I think it really comes down to how the thread was initially introduced - a question as a title/heading is asking for it. As you've noticed I set ground-rules in my first post (2013) and I monitor the thread pretty diligently because I know it doesn't take much to send it south. The mods are on my side and will intervene if someone becomes a problem. We have been very lucky to not have too many such issues so we can all enjoy the subject covered here over nearly 7 years/174 pages/3468 posts! Let's all keep it what I intended, a resource library of distressed/relic'd basses (and the occasional guitar, etc).

Not a lot of player wear for for a 53 year old bass. Nice example of a Telecaster bass with both maple cap and skunk striped neck.

Yep, late '60s - and played at the neck/pu seriously with strong untrimmed fingernails.
