Yes, it certainly looks like one. I didn’t notice it on this photograph at first which has a slightly different angle and lighting.

Good catch, didn't notice that because I was too busy gawking. Maybe a relic refin w/ original parts?

Edit: after seeing the latest pic it looks more like a pro repair that matches well while leaving the rest of the original finish intact.

Mine had a Badass 1 bridge on it whem I got it. Years ago, I went to the Jerry Jones retrement auction and I svored all of the harware. The bridge is a Jerry Jones brass unplated. everything else is original.

I also have a Silvertone 1444 bass, at one time I had 5 of them (they were cheap back then). I just sold an early version to a good friend (no pic).

Then there's this one.

I found this one years ago somewhere uo north (New York?). I saw it online somewhere, people were tearing it apart, saying "keep the neck/tuners and trash the rest". I contacted the guy and offered to buy it.

The pic is when I first got it (note no brdge saddle). It has been apart every since, I need to repair the body at the neck pocket and the tuner holes on the headstock. I need to get it back together.

Under the worn cover is a Dan Armstrong pickup, like the ones that he used in his "See Thru" instruments. The controls are also from Dan Armstrong.

I have a couple of ideas on where this came from. It's Bulldog ugly. Lol.

The bird/dinosaur is the crowning piece!

Is the Silvertone 34" scale? It looks like the bridge cover is only anchored on the E side. The Dane/Coral Deluxe Bass has something similar but anchored on the G side. And the Hornet has something different again!

not mine - the cover was missing when I bought it

my Silvertone 1443 Hornets - bridge cover was missing on the left side one. It was a mess when I bought it...

...eBay seller conveniently left out this view of the bass... luckily I didn't pay that much and had the skills to turn it around -

The Silvertone is short scale (Model 1442 I believe), and yes then bridge cover is attached on the bass side only.

I was looking at the overall lengths but failed to note where the bridge is positioned on both basses! Also didn't account for 15 frets on the Dano vs 22 on the Silvertone! That is a very short-scale bass! I've only seen pics of this vintage Dano -

Dano Hawk - also 15 frets. Note how the strings wrap around the tail-piece/bridge. Dano's are the epitome of design simplicity!

Never seen that bridge before.

The 15 fret Dano basses use guitar necks. You could also put a 24 fret longhorn neck on these and use the guitar bridge location.

They are in Cambridge, England. I found them on Instagram and fell in love with the old school look. It’s 34 in scale. I debated doing a short scale but already have 4 shorties (74 Hagstrom, 67 Gibson EB2, 71 Gibson Triumph, and an Atelier Z J5 Baby Z).

Not sure but I told tritone music that I wanted a Scott device special. I know that he use to work for fender for years and has connections I guess. It wasn't cheap
