Semi hollow - wood frame w/masonite frt & back. The 1st pic is more how it actually looked - an off-white with copper burst. Dano was and still is the only brand to do that finish combo AFAIK. Being from the late '50s, it was probably one of the 1st double-necked guitar/basses. It would still be a good double-neck design today being light-weight and short-scale.

The serial # on that '54 is 0567. The serial # on my 51/55 [the bridge plate, pickup cover, & neck are from a '55] is 0678.Something about the sequential order that does my OCD good.
